Englewood Lions Club 4th Annual Shred-A-Thon

The Englewood Lion’s club had our fourth annual shred-a-thon on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Hats off to Lion Tamra and Lion Glen Palmer, daughter Austyn and husband Derrick Selvage, and grandson Murdoc. Also, on the never-ending fun side of unloading thousands of pounds of bags of paper and electronics were Lion Gary Uba, Lion Mike Flaherty, Lion Dave Newman, Lion Dan Percefull, Lion Tim Dodd, and Jim Kenney.

Before sponsorship donations, this year we raised over a whopping $1460, hurray!!!! Perhaps this was due to the doughnuts? Over 121 cars roughly came through our lot with thousands of Englewooden’s served. We appreciate all the businesses who allowed us to display signs advertising our event. Especially noted are Englewood banks, Movement 5280,  and the recreation center. Once we collect all our signs and our backs and arms recover, we can’t wait to shred and recycle again next year!
