Englewood Lions, Movement 5280 and local Englewood boy scout troop participated and was a sponsor for the NFB and Colorado Center for the Blind 6 dot dash and 5K run on September 9, 2023.  

In its 5th year, the 6 Dot Dash fundraiser went towards promoting Braille Literacy for blind children, scholarships for blind college students, and skills training grounded in the high expectations that lead to success. The race kicked off on Saturday, September 9, from the Colorado Center for the Blind. The CCB, founded by the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado in 1988, provides world-class independence training to blind individuals of all ages, including students from across the United States. They offered tours of the Center before and after the race. Participants had the opportunity to enjoy an exciting expo that provided fantastic resources, food, free samples, and family fun. Folks also had the opportunity to partake in a blind beer tasting.
