The National Federation of the Blind of Colorado 6 Dot Dash presented by Waymo is an annual 5k event to raise awareness and funds for the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado/Colorado Center for the Blind. Your support helps provide Braille literacy and blindness skills training, scholarships for deserving blind students, summer camps for blind children, and so much more. The National Federation of the Blind of Colorado works on local, state and national levels "to achieve widespread emotional acceptance and intellectual understanding that the real problem of blindness is not the loss of eyesight but the misconceptions and lack of information which exist."
This year's race was on September 12th! Here are some pictures from this year's event.

Thank you so much, everyone, for helping out at the 6 Dot Dash over the weekend!
The event was a big success, and I think everyone had a wonderful time! I was so proud of our volunteers who served in so many crucial roles: directing and cheering on our runners, serving as guides, handing out water and snacks, handing out medals, putting up signs and taking volunteers and chairs to and from the course, riding the trail on trishaws, helping with set-up and breakdown of the event, and assisting our event organizers. We could not have managed without all of you!
Thank you to Dr. Huntington and the CA cross-country team! Thank you to Sue and Unite2Uplift and to Gail and the Englewood Lions Club for helping to bring so many great people to the Center! Thank you to Carolyn and Kerry who gave their time and carried back runners (and me!) on the trishaws. Thank you to our consistent and loyal CCB volunteers.
